Little Shots

Summary

Pacific moisture along with weak forcing will lead to snow showers over the mountains Thursday night into early Friday. No expectations for much production out of this system, a few inches tops. A large western trough stays in place through mid next week. Mainly wind...some periodic snow showers in forecast for the Sunday - Wednesday time frame.

Short Term Forecast

Warm afternoons forecast today (Wednesday) and again Thursday. Tomorrow wind and clouds increase through the day with snow showers possibly developing at Snowbowl by late afternoon. Snow showers continue through the overnight into early Friday morning. This storm lacks many components to produce anything more than a few inches. Friday winds  diminish, skies clear and mild temperatures ensue for another spring day. Gusty southwest winds can be expected over the weekend as another low develops across the west and by Sunday into the Great Basin.

Extended Forecast

Aforementioned low looks to setup across the Southwest Monday-Wednesday. Currently indications are that the system will be moisture starved, but may kick off daily rounds of light snow showers.
