Thanksgiving Storm and Pattern Change Hopeful

Summary

A weak storm hits on Thanksgiving day with the first snowfall in a moon. Another cold front sweeps the region on Saturday. Prospects for a pattern change and dumpage on the horizon.

Short Term Forecast

Thanksgiving Thursday storm is weak, though there is the potential for a couple of inches on the SF Peaks. Friday a break between systems. A mostly dry cold front will take an unfavorable (inland and straight out of the north) track into northern AZ Saturday, with a dusting possible. Cold northerly winds behind the front Sunday morning.

Extended Forecast

High pressure looks to build in next week with mild and dry weather for much of the final week of the month. Models hinting at a pattern change come the last day of November into early December. At the moment I am feeling optimistic for a couple dumps during this time frame.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday.

Stay tuned!
