Last Powder for an Extended Spell
Summary
Cool and dry weather through Saturday. A couple of storms to deliver some fresh Sunday through Tuesday. These storms now not nearly as significant as was previously hoped. A blocking ridge will then dominate the first half of March.
Short Term Forecast
Sunny and cold through Friday. Partly cloudy, cold and breezy Saturday. Pre sunrise Sunday a week disturbance rapidly sweeps through, possibly dropping a couple inches for Sunday turns. No snow through the day Sunday, as a brief break sets in before a slightly stronger storm looks to hit late Monday into early Tuesday. I expect a very windy Monday as this last wave approaches with light snow developing by afternoon. Right now it appears SB will receive roughly 6" during the Monday overnight leaving a cold, windy powder day Tuesday. Storm is quickly on the exit through the day Tuesday with little additional snow through the day. And that'll do it.
Extended Forecast
Massive high pressure builds in by mid next week and looks to persist through mid March. Goes without saying...the base, the bass!
