As I said earlier this afternoon, I forecasted low for northern Colorado, and that was the wrong call. While snow stake cams at Steamboat, Keystone, and Beaver Creek show that about 3-4 inches fell during the day (in line with my forecast), there were some big winners that received much more.

Winter Park's snow stake cam showed 9 inches.

Breckenridge's snow stake cam also shows about 8-9 inches.

Vail's cam is obscured by snow, but 8-9 inches seems reasonable.

And then there's Copper, sitting right in between Breckenridge and Vail. Copper's cam shows 16-17 inches. Yes, you read that right, and I verified it from a few people I know that were skiing there today. Holy dumpage!

Snowfall for these areas along and north of I-70 will continue off-and-on overnight. I can't promise that the next 12 hours will offer as much snow as the last 12 hours, but you should probably get out there on Wednesday and check it out for yourself. The first runs of the day will be awesome, then the sun should come out around midday or afternoon.

So November, good work on dumping snow on Colorado, especially along I-70! Hopefully all mountains will see a similar fortune as we move into December.
