Colorado Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Colorado Daily Snow

I'm heading over to Copper Mountain on Wednesday to check out the US Ski Team's Speed Center and see if Lindsey Vonn is still single. I'll let you know how that goes...

Weatherwise, there are two things to talk about, but only one of them is interesting.

The first thing (which isn't interesting) is a weak storm that will zip across northern Colorado on Friday and Friday night. Areas along and north of I-70 may see some snow showers that amount to an inch or two (at higher elevations), but that's about it.

The second and more interesting thing is what will happen late next week around Friday, November 9th. I've been talking about the possibility of a storm around this date for the last few days, but since this is a 9-10 day forecast, you know that the only certainty is that whatever the computer models are forecasting will be wrong. That said, the *trend* of the forecast can be correct, and it does look like the trend is for a cold and snowy storm to hit the west. Still, powder relies on the details of each storm, and I have no clue about the details of this upcoming storm and won't have a clue for many days to come.

Case in point, check out the last three computer models (created every six hours) and how different their forecasts are for Friday night (November 9th).

So we'll wait and see what happens and try to nail things down over the coming 3-5 days. But this is a glimmer of hope, so feel free to smile a little bigger and stand a little taller.

Happy Halloween!
