Colorado Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Colorado Daily Snow

And gooooood morning! I looked at all the models and there's not much new to report, which is good news because it means next week's storm is still on track.

Between now and then, expect dry and mostly sunny weather with more clouds from time-to-time and a few shots of slightly cooler air for northern Colorado and the front range.

The big storm that is slated to drop into the western US from the north Pacific Ocean is on track for late next week. The powder is always in the details and we're still about 7-8 days away from the storm, so let's not get too caught up on which locations will get the most snow and exactly when that will be. For now, plan on much colder air and snow flakes in Colorado from late Friday night through Saturday and Saturday night. The timing might change a bit, but that looks good for now.

Cold air and snow and powder

It's really too early to say if next week's storm signals a pattern change to snowier times of if this is just a one-dump event. Hopefully we'll see a few more storms heading toward Colorado from the Pacific Northwest, but the models are oscillating back and forth whether this will happen or not, so I'd rather not speculate and instead take it one storm at a time.

I will not get political here, but I will ask you to vote. You may not agree with every decision of a canditate, but exercise your voice and pick someone who most closely matches your values. Yes, our political system is kinda nuts-o sometimes, but we enjoy many rights and freedoms that others dream about, and voting freely and peacefully is one of them.

That said, I voted for snow!
