Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Colorado Daily Snow

Overall, it's not good news. There are a few glimmers of hope, though...

Sunday night's cold front is still on track to bring cooler temperatures to the northern half of the state. Locations along and north of I-70 could even see some snow flakes Sunday night with perhaps an inch of accumulation in luckier areas that are closer to the Wyoming border.

This upcoming week looks mostly dry as the main moisture stays along the west coast. A very weak storm might bring a few flakes and more clouds on Thursday, but I doubt we'll see any accumulation.

The unfortunate news is that the Sunday/Monday (Dec 2-3) storm is now looking less impressive. The American model and European model are not agreeing on its track and strength, and that's too bad because when the models disagree I start to question life (no, just kidding) and the confidence of the forecast. It still appears that there will be cooler air and some snow likely for at least parts of Colorado on Sunday night through Monday, but I really have no clue how much snow will fall, and it could be less than we want (always is, right?). The European model is showing some snow on Saturday and again Sunday night whereas the American is showing more snow Sunday night and Monday. Overall, I have no idea...sorry, but that's the truth.

The longer range outlook is still uncertain as the American model is showing some storminess through early December but the (often more correct) European is showing most of the storm energy staying along the west coast.

As my dad always says, hope for the best and plan for the worst.
