Update

Surprise!

If you get out on the hill early on Sunday morning, you’ll find 2-3 inches of new snow, and you’ll get it before the sun turns the powder into a thicker glop.

Earlier forecasts showed the chance for a few snow showers on Saturday night, though the models didn’t pick up that the system would be stronger than expected until later on Saturday evening.

This new snow means that we are ending the season with an upside surprise. I guess it’s the atmosphere's way of trying to make amends for the very slow start to the snowfall this year!

Sunday morning’s snow showers and clouds should move away by mid-morning, leaving partly sunny skies for the rest of Sunday with temperatures rising into the mid-to-upper 30s. Have fun celebrating the final day of the season!

I’ll write one more post on Monday morning when I’ll take a look at a few snow statistics for the past season.

Thanks for reading!
