Happy Thanksgiving! 

Today will feature partly sunny skies, temperatures in the 40s, and very gusty winds out of the southwest.

Increasing clouds by Thursday afternoon will then signal our next system. The start of this next system will push snow levels near and above 8,000 feet, bringing a rain/snow mix to the base area and potentially to the lower half of the mountain. A cold front will then push into the region on Friday morning and drop snow levels well below the base area. Look for highs in the 30s and 1-4 inches through Friday afternoon. 

Mostly dry conditions follow for Saturday and Sunday but a few flakes will be possible from time-to-time. Mid-mountain highs will be in the upper 30s to low 40s. 

Mixed precipitation will then kick off our next event on Sunday night but we should see snow levels drop to the base area on Monday and well below by Monday night. Expect periods of moderate to heavy snowfall through Tuesday. The initial forecast will be 3-6 inches but stay tuned for updates. 

Much colder temperatures follow for the remainder of next week. Daytime highs will be in the 20s, with overnight lows in the single-digits to low teens. Periods of light snow will fall through much of the week ahead of an interesting pattern shift for the West after December 2nd.
