The snow reports on Tuesday morning are about what we expected. Here's the full breakdown:

• Loveland: 9"
• Beaver Creek: 8"
• Keystone: 6"
• Copper: 5"
• Vail: 5"
• Breckenridge: 4"
• Winter Park: 3"

After the cold front pushed through on Monday evening, we saw the snow machine essentially shut off for most areas. This was due to drier air and the slow transition of the storm into its next productive position for snow production. 

Cool, west to northwest will begin to take over on Tuesday morning and continue to bring us light to moderate snow on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This will keep the road surfaces from the Eisenhower Tunnel through Vail under an icy and snow-packed, with slightly slower travel speeds. 

There could still be a few surprises left under this northwest flow pattern but totals don't look overly impressive for most locations through Thursday. Here's a look at the latest snow output, according to the 3km NAM-WRF model, through Thursday morning. 

This pattern will provide very light and fluffy snow so take full advantage of these amazing conditions.

Come Thursday night and into Friday, we'll begin to see much drier air filter into Colorado. This will signal the end to our latest storm cycle and mark the beginning of an extended dry period. Cool temperatures will keep icy and snow-packed spots in place on Friday before warmer temperatures clear and dry the corridor through the weekend. 

Mild and dry conditions will remain parked over the Intermountain West through next week and into the first few days of February. We'll then continue to monitor the transition back to an active storm track around February 4th.
