Montana Snow Pack holding STRONG into May

Update

As of April 26th every mountain range in Montana except for the Big and Little Belts and the smaller ranges surrounding Helena are well in excess of 100% of average snow pack. This is great news for spring backcountry skiers, summer anglers, and just about anyone who doesn't like wildfires!

In the medium range forecast it looks like continued cool and wet patterns for both sides of the Divide that will only increase the pack as we head into early May. Stay vigilant in the backcountry with DIY snow stability tests as many of the Avy forecast centers have finished for the season. Have a great SPRING out there and we'll check in occasionally in the case of any extraordinary weather phenomena. Powder (and Corn) Out! - Bob
