Quiet, Comfortable Weekend Ahead

Summary

The weekend ahead is looking quiet as far as precipitation is concerned and comfortable temperature-wise. Our next storm comes at the very tail end of the weekend and into the start of the work week with a light to moderate snowfall likely. Temperatures generally moderate next week, with the possibility of a warmer and wetter storm around Wednesday.

Details

High pressure will start to build in on Friday and will crest on Saturday before heading offshore on Sunday. This will translate to some pretty ideal weather for the upcoming weekend. Sure, it would be great if it kept snowing, but a weekend where we see some sunshine and comfortable temperatures may not be a bad change of pace at this point. Temperatures over the weekend will generally be in the mid to upper 20's and winds will be low. All that coupled with sunshine (especially on Saturday), and it's going to be a great weekend on the hill(s).

Long Range

Our next storm is on tap for the very tail end of the weekend and into Monday. When I wrote my last update, it looked like this storm could be on the warmer side. Thankfully though, it has started taking a more southern track and is now looking to bring us a light to moderate snowfall. Snow would spread in Sunday night and last into Monday morning. Around the middle of next week, I'm keeping an eye on the possibility of another storm that could be warm and wet if the current solution holds. Hopefully, we'll see the same change that the last two warm-looking storms showed as we got closer to the actual event.
