Snow on Sunday

Summary

Snow will spread in late in Sunday evening and then taper off by the time lifts start spinning on Monday. Snowfall amounts will generally be light for the region, but some more moderate accumulations could hit resorts in southern NH. Our next storm continues to look a bit warm, although there has been some improvement in the model data over the last day or so.

Details

Our next storm will move in after lifts close on Sunday. Snow will fall overnight and be mostly finished by the time lifts spin again on Monday. This won't be a major storm by any means...just another small addition to our already good snowpack and a little something to freshen up the snow surface. Snowfall amounts will generally be light across the region, with 1-3 inches falling for most resorts. The exception will be resorts in southern NH and coastal ME which will see more like 3-6 inches.

Long Range

The storm for the middle of next week is still looking a bit on the warm side. There have been some improvements in the data that suggest that at least the most northern resorts could see mostly snow from the event. However, it is looking likely at this point that southern resorts will see a period of rain from this one. Still plenty of time for the forecast for this one to become clearer.
