Significant snowfall - Tuesday?

Summary

Saturday will see little if any snowfall. More snow is expected by Sunday as a modest system moves into the Pacific NW. Snow levels may go up a tad, but a decent amount of snow is expected. After a break on Monday, a new and vigorous system will move on Tuesday.

Short Term Forecast

It’s the new system on Tuesday that gives me the most hope. There is potential for 10 plus inches of snow fall, Tuesday-Wednesday. This could really help us out, as the snowpack is getting a little thin in spots. There is higher snowfall potential for sure on Tuesday, but also some wind possible - so there are no clean deals.

Extended Forecast

In the long range forecast, after Wednesday, I do not like the trend. The models keep showing high pressure moving in again for more than a few days, resulting in another dry spell before Christmas.
