Snowy Thursday, improving weekend

Summary

A strong storm is unfolding Thursday with new snow, wind and a rise in the snow level (4,000ft). That means sticky snow falling on the middle and upper slopes and rain on the lower slopes. Upper slopes will see 10-20 inches (possibly more), and eventually slightly lower snow levels by Friday (3,000 - 3,500 ft).

Short Term Forecast

It will be a bit rough skiing Thursday with the storm in progress. Friday, the storm eases, as the snow level lowers and snowfall tapers off. I think Friday will be the better day on the groomers and off piste, as snow continues to fall on Friday. Below is 24 hr snowfall Thursday morning to Friday morning.

Extended Forecast

Saturday the snow tapers completely, with Sunday seeing partly sunny skies, as high-pressure moves into the region. Next week will see several storms move in with a lot of new snowfall in the Cascades of Washington and Oregon. Next week has epic potential!
