Increasing snow this week -- Epic potential ?

Summary

The week coming up will manifest a classic La Nina weather pattern – lots of snow and cool temperatures. There will be several storms coming our way, right through the weekend. The snow levels will be gradually coming down and will bottom out near 1,500 to 2,500 ft by late in the week for area quality snow.

Short Term Forecast

Monday will see dry weather early, but expect increasing clouds with snow, by later into the evening. That will be the first of several storms to hit the Cascades and Inland NW this week. The snow will continue into Tuesday, then ease up early Wednesday. By late Wednesday a new storm comes in with heavy snow on Thursday and Friday, easing early Saturday with a 2,000ft snow level. Open Snow Oregon readers, note significant snowfall targeted toward the Oregon Cascades. Mt Bachelor and all others will see great improvement in the next week.(images UW)

Extended Forecast

A new storm will move in later Saturday into Sunday. That storm will produce even more new snowfall throughout the Pacific NW. The upcoming snow pattern this week, promises to be a good one – get ready to go!
