Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 8 years ago November 26, 2015

It appears that some snow did fall around sunrise on this Thanksgiving morning, so while it’s not a powder day, I hope you’re enjoying a few fresh flakes as the mountain opens for the season!

We will see chances for snow from Thursday through next Monday, with generally light accumulations mixed in with some sunshine. The times that are favored for heavier snowfall will be sometime late Friday night through midday-ish on Saturday, and perhaps again on Sunday night through Monday. Each of these periods could offer a few inches of snow, but my confidence in this forecast is low as the responsible storm is wobbling around to our west and this behavior makes the storm hard to predict. I’ll keep you updated with new information each day, and in the mean time, Happy Thanksgiving!
