Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 8 years ago November 29, 2015

During the three days since Thanksgiving, we’ve measured 9 inches of snow. While the daily snow reports may not seem impressive (2-4 inches each day), it’s this type of consistent snow that can lead to phenomenal conditions.

The good news continues, as after a break in the snow during the day on Sunday, I am forecasting more snow from Sunday night through Monday night. Total snowfall during this stretch should be in the 6-12 inch range, so keep your eye on the snow stake webcam and consider making some turns on Monday and first chair on Tuesday morning to enjoy the freshies. We will see west to northwest winds during the day on Monday and on Monday night, and this is the best wind direction for Steamboat. If you do your snow dance just right, this wind might help us to out-snow the forecast. Let’s hope:-)
