Tahoe Daily Snow

High Elevation Snow Chances...
We have been watching this weak system approaching over the last several days. Not much change to the forecast this morning. We will see showers today. Snow levels will be above 9000 feet. The heaviest precip falls over NV and to our South.
The highest peaks like sunflower mountain, Mt. Rose, Heavenly, Mt. Tallac, etc... could see a coating to an inch of snow. Normal for a September storm, and just enough to snap a quick photo of the first white peaks before it melts away and nice weather returns the rest of the week.
Here is the GFS snowfall forecast.
The weather looks like it becomes very active in the Pacific NW the 2nd half of the month. The ridge looks pretty flat in the East Pacific by then. We will have to watch to see if a storm dips South and brings us more precip.
Stay tuned...BA
