Update

Jackson Hole is reporting 9 inches on Monday morning, while Grand Targhee comes in at 2 inches. This season has been primary driven by moisture-laden, southwesterly flow and Sunday night was yet another prime example of Jackson Hole being favored over Grand Targhee.

For the rest of Monday, we'll continue to see periods of light snow as our primary wind direction shifts from blowing out of the southeast to more of an easterly direction on Monday evening. Even though the snowfall rates will increase by Monday afternoon and into Monday night, this type of pattern doesn't produce big totals in the Tetons. Overall, we are looking at an additional 3-6 inches through Tuesday.

Cool, west to northwest flow will then take over by Tuesday night and continue to bring us light snow through Thursday. We could squeeze out a few inches during this timeframe but the best snowfall will be behind us.

Mostly sunny skies and dry conditions will finally take over by Friday and stick around through the final days of January. There is a slight chance for a quick system on Monday, January 30th but we'll see how this trends throughout the week.

Looking further ahead, all longer-range models continue to point toward an active storm track returning around February 4th. Fingers crossed this holds true.

Thanks for reading and enjoy the snow!
