(sorry for the post length, broke my wrist yesterday and typing one handed)

After much buildup, the low forecasted for tonight and tomorrow continues to shift south and east meaning lesser snowfall amounts for Minnesota. Right now this low looks best to bring 8-12” of snow to central Wisconsin, with 2-4” in northern WI and the UP. The snow should start right after midnight and be heaviest during the morning hours, tapering off just after sunset.

Snowfall through Friday evening

Another low will move across the region during the day on Sunday bringing another quick round of snow showers. Right now it looks like most places will only see a dusting, but some convective bands could bring some places a quick inch if they set up. However forecasting where these convective bands will setup is almost impossible a few days out.

Next week brings a change for another potent low on Tuesday/Wednesday. However, once again this low pulls in some more gulf moisture, so looking like southern locations could see a lot of precip fall as rain first before it switches over to snow. Not been much consistence between the models, but could be 2-4” for central and northern MN/WI by Wednesday night.

Finally, a clipper moves through on Thursday/Friday that could bring a quick few inches to northern locations and kick up a few lake effect snow showers for the south shore and UP.
