The Storm that Wasn't
Update
Just a quick update today. Yesterday, I wrote a long post about an upcoming storm. Models have shifted drastically since yesterday. This trough no longer picks up the cutoff low and therefore the system won't have nearly as much "fuel" to generate precip across the area.
What does that mean for us? It means that Friday and Friday night we may see some scattered showers, cooler temps, and maybe a couple inches of snow in the high elevations, but that should be about it. This storm which had potential to be more significant looks like just another weak front. I'm not too disappointed. It looks like we will be relatively quite for the last 10 days of October. That means less risk of weak facets and an extended mountain bike season. Let's hope that Ma Nature turns on the spigots after Halloween.
