Vail Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Vail Daily Snow

We saw a quick burst of snow on Thursday night which left a fresh coating of snow across the mountain. That band of snow is now off to the east, and we’ll be left with some sun, some clouds, and some flurries today on Friday.

Coming up, I see two distinct periods when the chances are high for more snow. The first period will be late Friday afternoon through Saturday morning. I have a generic 1-3 inches of snow in the forecast, and the actual totals will depend on our luck in seeing a band of heavier snow. If we get it, expect higher totals. If the band misses Vail, we could be skunked. Welcome to the joys of weather forecasting:-) Regardless of what happens with this band of snow on Friday night, we should return to drier weather on Saturday through midday Sunday, then there is a higher chance for healthy snowfall (3-6+ inches) from Sunday afternoon through Monday midday. Right now, I’d say Monday is the best day if you’re looking for powder. So why not consider making it an extra long weekend? :-)
