Vail Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Vail Daily Snow

By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 8 years ago November 29, 2015

We’ve seen about 8 inches of snow at Vail since Thanksgiving Day, and this snowfall combined with cool temperatures has led to soft and fun conditions across the front side of the mountain. If you’re heading out on Sunday, the first turns will again be soft as a quick burst of snow around sunrise has left a fresh inch (or so) on the hill. The weather on Sunday should offer partly sunny skies with temperatures in the upper teens to low 20s.

Snow will return on Sunday evening and will last through Monday night. During this time, a west and northwest wind will bring snow accumulations of about 6-12 inches, so if you’re looking for powder, I recommend skiing on Monday and perhaps Tuesday morning as well. Keep your eye on the snow stake webcam to watch the snow pile up, and check back here as I will update this forecast on Monday morning.
