Update

Thursday and Friday will be beautiful days with mostly sunny skies and midday high temperatures rising into the 40s at mid-mountain.

Saturday will be a transition day with more clouds and a gusty afternoon wind. Then snow showers should begin on Saturday evening and continue through Monday morning. Total snowfall from this storm should be in the 4-8 inch range, and I think the timing of the snow will bring the best powder on Sunday and/or Monday morning. There’s a small chance that we might see deeper, fluffier powder on Monday morning IF the storm slows down and tracks a bit further to the south. I’ll keep you posted about this possibility.

Following the storm, most of next week looks like it will be dry and warm. Longer-range models do show that one or two storms will be possible between about April 15-23, so we will likely get more snow before closing day, but I don’t know exactly when. Stay tuned!
