Update

Snowmaking and mountain operations crews are working hard to open more terrain despite the dry weather. The total number of trails open is 7, and here is an update from December 9th about the latest terrain status: http://blog.vail.com/latest-terrain-update-dec-9/

The weather on Sunday and this week will be dry and mostly sunny with high temperatures in the 30s and lows in the teens and 20s. This should make for comfortable ski conditions during the day and allow crews to continue to make snow at night.

The next chance for snow will be between December 16-18 as one or two storms clip Colorado's northern mountains. It's possible that Vail will see significant accumulations, and it's also possible that we'll only see a little bit or no snow. I am hoping for the best and will keep you posted with daily updates!
