CDOT: Gazex on Loveland & Berthoud Pass
Over this past summer, the Colorado Department of Transportation installed Gazex avalanche mitigation systems on Loveland and Berthoud Pass. Gazex are permanent remote avalanche-release systems that use compressed gases to create a concussive blast that triggers a slide. Watch the video below for more information.
