Sarah Burke passed away yesterday in Salt Lake City from injuries sustained in a half-pipe crash on January 10th. She was an innovator for the sport and an incredible role model for young women. Sometimes these tragedies seem sad but also distant and far away, because after all most of us never actually knew Sarah personally.
