Loveland to open on Thursday 10/17

Loveland Ski Area will open for the 2013-2014 season on Thursday, October 17.

Chair 1 will start at 9:00am and will provide skiers and riders with access to one top-to-bottom run. The trails Catwalk, Mambo and Home Run make up this Opening Day run which is a over a mile long and nearly 1,000 vertical feet.

"Our snowmaking crew has done a tremendous job getting the mountain ready for Opening Day," said Rob Goodell , director of business operations. "The snow guns are still firing and there is more snow in the forecast, so the first turns of the season are going to be exceptional."

Loveland Ski Area will be open from 9:00am until 4:00pm on weekdays and 8:30am until 4:30pm on weekends and designated holidays. Early season lift tickets are $49 for adults and $25 for children 6-14.

Loveland Ski Area season passes are now on sale and include 3 FREE days at Monarch Mountain, 3 FREE days at Durango Mountain Resort(does not apply to mid-week passes), 3 FREE days at Crested Butte(does not apply to mid-week passes), and 1 unguided day at Silverton Mountain.

Unrestricted 4-Paks are also available online for just $129($32.25/day) at skiloveland.com through November 24, 2013.
