Pow pow for the weekend

Snow snow snow snow! Lots of snow is falling from Utah to Wyoming to Idaho to Oregon to Washington right now, but this snow is on the heavier side as temperatures are a bit warm and the wind is strong (which crashes the snow flakes together, breaks them up, and packs them more tightly together).

That all changes on Saturday as colder air returns. The good news is that the moisture is still around when temperatures drop, and that equals lots and lots of snow. It'll be storm-day skiing on Saturday in Tahoe (with plenty of fresh left for Sunday), storm-day skiing on Saturday in Utah (with soft first tracks on Sunday), and a straight-up powder day for Colorado on Sunday.

Check out the full Colorado forecast here and see which ski areas have Sunday highlighted as a powder day. Also here's the plug:-),  if you register (it’s free and just takes a minute), you can create a dashboard with just your favorite areas and setup alerts so your iPhone will bug remind you (using our app) about upcoming powder days.
