Red Bull Double Pipe

Red Bull and Snow Park Technologies have teamed up to create the first ever double pipe consisting of two halfpipes built side-by-side. This will be the first ever snowboarding event of its kind and it will take place at Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen, Colorado on March 19th-23rd, 2014.

The two pipes will be 180 feet wide, 550 feet long, and 22 feet tall with a 4 foot wide spine located in between each pipe. This will make it the largest halfpipe ever built. It will allow the snowboarders to jump from pipe to pipe while utililzing all the specific features. They will include rails, wallrides, and all other unique features yet to be announced. They will be judged on creativity and overall use of the course. The full event schedule, list of riders, and format will be announced in the coming days.

The event will air on NBC, Saturday April 12th at 2pm EST, as part of the Red Bull Signature Series. It will also be FREE to attend.
