Vail Mountain Opening for the 2016-2017 Season on November 25th

Unseasonably warm temperatures and a dry start to November has forced Vail Mountain to delay their 2016-2017 season opening from Friday, November 18th to Friday, November 25th.

"We're looking forward to a shift in the weather pattern this week to assist with resort snowmaking efforts and to another great winter season ahead," said Chris Jarnot, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Vail Mountain. "We saw a very similar start to the 2007-2008 season, and the resort went on to receive more than 100 inches of snow by December 12th, contributing to a well-above-average snow year."

Beaver Creek Resort is still scheduled to kick off their 2016-2017 season on Wednesday, November 23rd, conditions permitting.
