– Pauline, Android User
"Weather forecasting for the mountains takes extra focus, analysis, and precision, which is exactly what OpenSnow provides."
– Cody Townsend, Pro Skier
"Any weather app can give a mediocre forecast for a mountain town, but only OpenSnow provides a good idea of actual mountain ski conditions. As a powder hunter that hits the slopes >30 days per season, OpenSnow is my go-to source for planning where I ski."
– Jon, iOS User

All-Access Frequently Asked Questions

What is OpenSnow?

OpenSnow is a snow forecasting and ski conditions information service that provides everything that you need for your next powder day, weekend trip, or destination ski vacation. Compare forecasts on a single screen, view the latest 10-day snow forecast and 24-hour snow report for your favorite ski resorts, and track storms with high-resolution map overlays.

How much does OpenSnow cost?

Our goal is to make the subscription pricing simple, fair, and inclusive of all features. The All-Access Single subscription is available for $29.99 per year and provides unlimited access for 1 person. The All-Access Group subscription is available for $39.99 per year and provides unlimited access for 4 people.

Will my All-Access subscription automatically renew?

All subscriptions are set to automatically renew unless canceled before the end of the 365-day subscription term. You can easily cancel your subscription via the OpenSnow app or website with one click.

How does the free trial work?

New subscribers that opt-in to the free trial receive the full OpenSnow All-Access experience, with no credit card required, for the next 14 days. If you choose not to purchase All-Access after the 14-day free trial is over, you will be automatically downgraded to a free account and not charged. You will still be able to receive email storm updates and view limited snow report and snow forecast data.

Do I only need one subscription for OpenSnow and OpenSummit?

Yes! ONE login and ONE subscription is all you need to see the All-Access features on BOTH OpenSnow and OpenSummit. That’s year-round coverage for all of your outdoor activities for less than a cup of coffee per month.

What is OpenSummit?

OpenSummit is our sister service that provides weather forecasts and conditions information to help you plan your next outdoor adventure. Compare forecasts on a single screen, view the latest 5-day hourly forecast and estimated trail conditions for your favorite mountain locations, and track wildfire smoke for the next 2 days with high-resolution map overlays.

How do you make your forecasts?

We update the automated forecasts on OpenSnow every hour with a proprietary blend of global and high-resolution model data. Blending multiple global and high-resolution models increases accuracy and confidence in the forecast, among many other benefits. The data can be viewed as hourly forecasts for the next 5 days and daily forecasts for the next 10 days.
