As Good as it Gets

Summary

Glory days are here again. What an amazing week in the Arizona mountains...just wow. Snowbowl now over 300" on the season with nearly a 100" base. Quiet weather and warming afternoons in the forecast for the next week, potential storms beyond.

Short Term Forecast

I was surprised to see light snow through this blissful powder Thursday.  Snow will shut down rapidly tonight as we turn towards a quiet pattern for the next week. A fairly significant northeasterly wind sets up tonight through a cool Friday. It may prove strong enough for a morning wind hold on Agassiz. Powder will remain plentiful for seekers through at least tomorrow, and into the weekend for the backcountry. Weekend crowds and warming temps will settle the snow with fabulous spring conditions ahead into next week.

Extended Forecast

Storm window and track begins to pick up late next week, Thursday, 3/21 time frame with something possible around 3/25 .

Weak El Nino keeps hanging on and is currently forecast to continue at current conditions well into summer.
