So Darn Lucky

Summary

Let's just start and reflect on what an epic season it has been! I have had some of the best turns of my life on the SF Peaks this year...a spectacular and majestic mountain in infinite respects. The folks at Snowbowl do a killer job. I'd also like to give a shout out to this incredible ski community and mountain town that many of us are lucky enough to call home (or have close enough to visit). I was reminded of special it is at Deb and Barry's annual ski shindig at the base of the Peaks last weekend. So many friends and family that run generations deep gazed at the alpenglow and shared tales of new and old. What a wonderful reminder of all the beautiful people here. Shout out to Betsy Menand from Gunnison, who is old school Flagstaff and says she enjoys the slog (Joel, she says she loves your slogs as well, but please stop bringing the crowds to Monarch), hey its what we do. It sure is a pleasure to be part of it all! Ok enough gushing on to the weather.

Short Term Forecast

The storm track has begun the spring retreat to our north. Still quite active off the Pacific into California and the intermountains, just not as southerly. There are no signs of jumbo high pressure, which bodes well, as this means no hot weather on the horizon. We'll call it mostly seasonable with spells of seasonable warmth for the next couple of weeks. With all the snow and deep base plenty of fun spring days are assured.

Extended Forecast

We've got to have another one or two in our future, right? Stay tuned!
