Happy Friday, Sunday Storm
Summary
The storm earlier this week delivered another 10" to the Snowbowl, which now has 100% of terrain open. The warm nature of the last storm made for a crispy rime layer underneath the powder on top. Another similarly warm system is on the way for Sunday.
Short Term Forecast
Mild temperatures on Friday and Saturday should help to soften up the snow. Our next storm will enter overnight Saturday/ early Sunday. Snow levels will once again be quite high, near 8500', then slowly lower through the day. There may be an inch or two of snow for first chair Sunday with snow showers throughout the day. Accumulation through the day will roughly be 3-6", with several more inches after hours, storm total 4-8" ish, which is more than I was feeling earlier this week.
The White Mountains and Sunrise will see snow later in the day Sunday, with a good dump Sunday night, near a foot, tapering off through the day Monday. Unfortunately no lift service Monday for what looks to be a good powder day.
Extended Forecast
Looking out beyond the weekend appears quiet for a week or more. Some things to keep an eye on as the winter jetstream is picking energy and things can change quickly.
Happy Weekend!
