Extraordinary Early Season
Summary
The latest storm cycle that began with the Thanksgiving storm has left us with stellar early season conditions at the Snowbowl. Snowbowl is at 91" of snow on the season and a 52" base! It feels like mid-winter up there with all terrain accessible. No worries about the lull in the weather this week as the skiing/riding is as good as early December gets, ever. Sunrise has not made out as well, reporting an 18" base.
Short Term Forecast
Quiet and mild weather is in the forecast for the entire week of 12/9 - 12/14, 6 days of nothing. Sunday 12/15 the storm window looks to open back up for the Southwest. A weak storm system may bring some light snow Sunday, though nothing overly dramatic.
Extended Forecast
Beyond Sunday there appears to be several storm chances as we make our way towards Christmas.
