Hopes for Early December Snow Fizzle
Summary
The active pattern across the West will never translate to the Southwest as storm energy looks to remain north of the region.
Short Term Forecast
No need to keep a watch on weekend systems and have you hopeful for snow. Latest model runs have become increasingly more in line with a non event for Arizona.
A developing trough off California strong southwest winds to the region on Thursday and Friday. Snow for the Sierras and Rockies.
Winds back off over the weekend with a continuation of overall westerly flow and mild temperatures.
Saturday night a less significant than previously discussed, sub tropical moisture tap may take aim at the Whites, though snow levels will remain above 9500' or higher even.
Extended Forecast
An active Western pattern remains in motion into early next week, though not happening here in Arizona.
Minimal snow chances for the next 10 days, sigh.
