Interesting Times

Summary

The storm of the past few days performed about as expected. Tamarack was the surprise only reporting 3 inches from Friday through Sunday. We have a fairly quiet week incoming but the weather should pick up by Friday. Lets take a look!

Short Term Forecast

Pretty boring from now through Thursday. We could get a few flakes around mid-week but nothing in the way of accumulations. Luckily temperatures will be below average. Check out the 5 day temperature anomaly below:

Extended Forecast

Looks like our next storm moves through on Friday or Saturday (2/3 or 2/4) early morning. It does not look that strong but should be enough for a refresh of the slopes. Both models are showing that there should be follow-on storms as well starting Sunday (2/5) and lasting for a couple days. I am not confident at all in the forecast so let's look at numbers as we get closer. Interesting enough though, the ensemble models are in good agreement:

Above is all the runs from the ensembles showing 24 hour precipitation. As you can see, there is pretty good agreement that we get something on Friday/Saturday and then another storm of some sort on Sunday.

Keep those fingers crossed and do those snow dances!
