Update

Our weather will remain mostly quiet this week as we await a shift and a return to colder temperatures and heavy snow next weekend. Monday will feature a slight chance for light snow as a system pushes through northeastern Colorado but we'll only be looking at trace amounts, if anything, through Monday night.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and into Friday will feature sunny skies and daytime highs in the upper 20s to low 30s. We were watching for an outside chance for light snow on Wednesday but I believe that is all but gone.

Our full attention is now on next weekend as a cold and stormy pattern sets up across the West. Now that we're in the 7-day window, our first round of snow will arrive by next Friday night, Saturday, and potentially into next Sunday. We'll get into the possible totals over the next few days

Looking further ahead, much colder temps and continued chances for snow will be the story as we close out the month of January. Our snowpack is now at 88% of average and it should only continue to rise we head into February.

Thanks for reading and have a great rest of your holiday weekend!
