Friday: Westerly flow aloft brings one more day of exceptionally warm temps for all the open resorts. A W/SW flow will keep the skies mostly cloudy, but a few sunny spells are also likely. A few hit and miss showers/flurries are possible in the afternoon with freeze levels close to 3000m. High temps across the alpine at 2500m will reach 5C at Sunshine and Louise with 1C at Marmot. Ridgetop westerly winds will be in the 20 to 40 kph range for the Big3 resorts with 30 to 50 kph at Marmot.

Saturday: Overnight Friday, cold air moving north to south along the Rockies will trigger periods of snow showers with trace amounts up to 10 cm possible. Marmot could potentially see higher amounts to 15cm. For Saturday, look for cloudy skies with off and on flurries in the morning before semi-clearing midday for a mix of sun and clouds for the afternoon. Cooler, with highs at 2500m of -2C at Marmot to -1C at the Big3 resorts. SW winds of 20 to 30 kph on ridgetops and other wind prone terrain.

Sunday: Last day of the season at Mt. Norquay, Marmot Basin and Lake Louse. Look for a mix of sun and clouds with slightly warmer temperatures. Afternoon highs across the alpine at 2500m will range from 0C at the Big3 resorts to -2C at Marmot. West winds decreasing to 15 to 25 kph across the ridgetops.

Monday thru Wednesday: Monday, increasing clouds with continued seasonal temperatures. A low -pressure system is now progged to arrive Monday night bringing periods of snow through Tuesday with potentials of up to 20cm across the alpine terrain at Sunshine. High temps at 2500m Tuesday will be around -2C. The storm clears out Wednesday for a mix of sun and cloud with continued below freezing alpine temps with highs of -2C at 2500m.

Also, we integrated the avalanche forecast into each mountain location page under a new tab called "Avalanche Forecast". 

The avalanche forecasts are freely available and are the foundation of any backcountry experience. Please check these forecasts each time you head out of controlled terrain!
