Update

Friday afternoon and Friday night brought dry weather but this will be just a short break before the next storms arrive.

We will see an active weather pattern from Saturday through Wednesday with three waves of snowfall.

The first wave will start on Saturday midday and continue through Sunday. We should see 2-5 inches from this wave with powder on Sunday morning and more snow falling through the day.

The second wave will start on Sunday evening and continue through Monday afternoon. This wave could deliver an additional 2-5+ inches of snow along with stronger winds. Look for powder on Monday morning with snow continuing throughout the day.

The third and final wave will start on Tuesday evening and continue through Wednesday morning. This wave could deliver 2-5+ inches of snow along with stronger winds. Look for powder on Wednesday morning.

The wind direction during this storm cycle will be from the west, west-southwest, and southwest, and none of these directions are favorable for big snow totals. But the consistency of the snow over four-to-five days should make up for the negative wind direction and we should enjoy fun conditions.

And then we’ll see one more storm with snow from Thursday night through Friday evening. It looks like Friday, January 17th will be a powder day with powder possible on the morning of Saturday, January 18th as well.

This is going to be a fun seven days of snow – let’s get to it!
