Tuesday
Our latest storm arrived as expected on Monday night and delivered 2-9 inches for Tuesday morning's reports. Beaver Creek and Vail are leading the way with 9 inches apiece.
The rest of Tuesday will feature additional snow in the morning before very cold and dry air filters in on Tuesday afternoon and shuts off any remaining snowfall production.
Look for another 2-4 inches, which should bring most areas up into the 4-12" range for this storm. Tuesday's temps will only climb into the teens so bundle up and enjoy the fresh snow!
Wednesday - Thursday
Following cold and clear conditions on Tuesday night, we'll quickly warm up through Wednesday under sunny skies. Temps will start in the single digits and rise into the upper 20s to low 30s. Thursday will also remain dry under mostly sunny skies, with temps climbing into the 30s under a bit more cloud coverage by Thursday afternoon.
Travel Forecast
Icy and snow-packed road surfaces are now in place on Tuesday morning from Denver through Glenwood Springs and off into the Western Slope.
Give yourself plenty of extra travel time on Tuesday morning due to very slick/snowy road surfaces and possible road closures due to accidents. Stay tuned to CDOT for the latest road updates.
Slick and snowy road surfaces will continue to be encountered through Tuesday night and into early Wednesday morning ahead of dry road surfaces prevailing by Wednesday afternoon.
Dry road surfaces will continue through Thursday night ahead of more wet, slick, and snowy road surfaces from Friday through next Tuesday, December 6. Plan for slower travel speeds on Friday and around next Monday and Tuesday.
Extended Forecast
Friday & Beyond
Our next round of snow will be welcomed in on Friday as moisture streams into Colorado from the West Coast. This storm should bring light to moderate snow at times through Friday night, with an early forecast of 2-6 inches.
Following a break, with maybe a few lingering snow showers on Saturday, we should receive another strong storm early next week. This system should begin to impact us on Sunday, with the heaviest snowfall targeting Colorado on Monday and possibly into Tuesday, December 6.
We'll then begin to receive dry weather beginning around Wednesday, December 7. This should stick around for at least a few days before we watch for additional chances for snow starting through the weekend of December 10/11.
