A-Basin: 3"

Beaver Creek: 2"

Echo Mountain: 3"

Keystone: 4"

Loveland: 3"

My final forecast on Wednesday morning called for 2-5 inches so I feel very good about how this storm played out.

All road surfaces are icy, slushy, and partially snow-packed on Thursday morning. CDOT implemented the traction law on Wednesday night but it has since been lifted for most areas as of 7:30 am. The CDOT Twitter and Alerts Page are two great resources to check for accidents, road closures, and travel delays. 

Off-and-on snow showers will now continue through Thursday, with temperatures in the teens. The road surfaces will continue to be icy but travel concerns should be minimal. 

Friday and Saturday turn mild and dry (including the road surfaces), with mid-mountain highs returning to the upper 20s. I do think there will be increased traffic on westbound I-70 during Friday evening and Saturday morning so make sure to check Google Maps and/or Waze to get an update before you take off for the high country. 

Our next chance for snow will then arrive on Saturday evening. Periods of light to moderate snow will fall into Sunday, with totals ranging from a dusting to maybe 3 inches. 

This will once again make the road surfaces icy and snow-packed from Saturday night through Sunday so make sure your vehicle is prepared with snow tires and/or chains. 

We'll then return to mild and dry conditions from Monday through Wednesday of next week.

Looking further ahead, we'll turn our full attention to December 21st through the end of the month as there are now good indications of an active pattern developing across the West.

It's still too early to get excited for potential powder days but I am cautiously optimistic.
