A Break Friday, Another Storm Saturday...
Update
**You should have chains if traveling over Sierra passes through Saturday.**
Friday:
Expecting a break on Friday but we could see snow move back in with the next storm by later Friday night. This storm could have snow levels down to 3,000-4,000 feet. So we could see chain controls setup all the way down at Crystal Springs east into Reno Friday night.
Saturday:
Saturday we should continue to see snowfall with chain controls from around Crystal Springs to Reno. The snow is expected to taper off by Saturday evening, but chain controls could remain until Sunday morning with the snow packed roads.
Long-Range:
Expecting the weather pattern to become drier starting Sunday, but the next storm could move in by Tuesday so stay tuned.
