Snow Sunday, Then A Drier Pattern...
Update
Snow levels dropped to Donner Summit around 5 AM with chain controls setting up. As of 7 AM chain controls are in place from Cisco Grove to Donner Lake.
Sunday Storm:
Snow continues through the morning with chain controls likely staying from around Cisco Grove to Donner Lake, possibly a bit lower to Truckee. The snow tapers off this afternoon and the roads should start to clear through the afternoon. Snow showers could linger over Donner Summit into the afternoon.
Next Week:
Expecting a drier pattern starting Monday. Tuesday we could see a few snow showers but not expecting any travel issues right now.
Dry weather is expected Wednesday through Saturday. There is a chance for light snow next Sunday with a cold front. We will keep an eye on that through the week.
