2 Storms Wednesday - Friday...

Update

We have two more days of dry weather before storms move in on Wednesday.  Monday and Tuesday expect clouds and sun with highs in the 50's.

Wednesday:

The first storm moves in Wednesday.  We are expecting snow to begin on the mountain during the afternoon and to continue into Thursday morning.  We may begin as rain at the base and then turn to snow Wednesday night.  By Thursday morning we could see 3-6 inches at the base and 6-12 inches on the mountain.

Thursday:

For Thanksgiving Day it will be cloudy and cold with the chance for snow showers after the steady snow ends in the morning.  We aren't expecting more than up to an inch of additional snowfall on the mountain from the scattered snow showers.

Friday:

Friday the 2nd storm moves in with rain and snow becoming heavier again and then tapering off Friday night.  There is warmer air with this storm, so snow levels will rise through the day on Friday and could peak out as high as 8,000 feet.  We could see an additional 2-4 inches at the base and 3-6 inches on the mountain by Saturday morning.

The Weekend:

High pressure is expected to start building back in for the weekend with a final storm staying to our North.  It should be cold though with highs in the 40's.  Colder air at night should allow for snowmaking to resume to continue expanding terrain.

Long-Range:

It looks like we may have a dry start to the week of the 26th.  But a strong Pacific jet stream may push storms into CA again beginning around the 29th.
