Collectively DEEP

Summary

Our weather pattern will continue to favor the Collective Resorts in the western United States with multiple storms and powder days. Expect multiple FEET at many destinations and we should be riding the powder wave through at least mid-February.

Short Term Forecast

Let's get started with the deepest reports from the Collective Resorts over the past 5 days.

Deepest 5-Day Totals

Mammoth: 56 inches

Squaw Alpine: 36 inches

Jackson Hole: 20 inches

Snowbird: 20 inches

Alta: 17 inches

This Week

There's no better way to say ... just go skiing. Many of the Collective Destinations will be favored for deliciously deep totals through Wednesday, followed by another round of good totals through next week.

Mammoth and Squaw Alpine will see an additional 2-4+ FEET through Tuesday. This is on top of the 3-4+ FEET that already fell over the weekend. If you're chasing to California, just remember that it will likely take an extended time for avalanche mitigation and to dig out the lifts.

Further east, Alta/Snowbird will once again be in the sweet spot for upwards of 20-30 inches through Wednesday. This will also be on top of the 20 inches that already fell on Sunday and into Monday morning. Tuesday and Wednesday at Alta or Snowbird are my picks for the best days and locations this week.

Elsewhere, areas in the Northen Rockies will continue to see moderate to heavy snow on Monday and Tuesday. Jackson Hole will see upwards of a foot, while Sun Valley and Big Sky also see respectable totals. Aspen Snowmass will also get in on the goods, with heavy snow on Tuesday night and Wednesday. This could be the spot to be for excellent turns on Thursday.

We'll then finally catch a break by late Thursday and into Friday as our weather pattern resets for additional storms through the upcoming weekend and into next week!

Extended Forecast

Upcoming Weekend & Next Week

California will once again receive a healthy dose of snowfall on Friday night and into Saturday.

This pattern wave will then shift further east and deliver moderate to heavy snow for all Collective Destinations throughout the Intermountain West. Keep an eye on Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado for good totals on Sunday, February 10th and into Monday, February 11th.

As always, stay tuned to the 1-10 day forecasts for all of the Mountain Collective destinations and our team of local forecasters for the latest updates.

Thanks for reading and look for my next update on Monday, February 11th.
