The month of March will end with quiet weather for every destination in the Western US.

The one exception for spring skiing from coast-to-coast will be Sugarbush in Vermont, which will receive 3-6 inches on Thursday, April 1. Could be a fun chase for you East Coasters.

But as mentioned above, it will be full-on spring skiing for nearly every destination as we flip the calendar into the first weekend of April. If you've been waiting for spring skiing conditions at your destination of choice in the Western US, the weekend of April 3-4 will be it.

Extended Forecast

Our full attention will now shift to an unsettled pattern along the West Coast beginning around Monday, April 5.

Keep an eye on Squaw Alpine and Mammoth in California, along with Jackson/Targhee and Big Sky in the Northern Rockies for light refreshes during the week of April 5-9.

Alta/Snowbird in Utah and Aspen/A-Basin in Colorado could also receive chances for snow, though well-above-average temps will limit their snow potential.

As always, stay up-to-date with our team of local forecasters. They will provide you with excellent local analysis and help you dial in the details through each destination's closing day.
