The storm during late last week (March 13-15) delivered 15-30 inches of snow. Strong winds accompanied the storm, so there were times when lifts were shut down, but still, that was an amazing storm cycle!

Following a dry weekend (March 16-17), we’re now looking at an active week ahead.

We should see light snow from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning, favoring areas like Angel Fire, near and east of the highest peaks.

Then from Wednesday afternoon through Friday, a stronger storm should pump lots of moisture into New Mexico, and this is a recipe for healthy snow totals.

There will likely be powder on Thursday and even deeper amounts by Friday, with total snowfall in the range of 10-20 inches. Winds could again be strong for a time on Thursday, and temperatures will be on the warmer side, so expect the powder to be denser rather than fluffy. No matter, another 1-2 feet of snow will be welcome!
